Teaching
The Academy of Music Detmold is located in the middle of one of the most attractive ducal cities in Germany. Internationally acclaimed musicians have taught here for more than fifty years in an environment which makes particularly intensive pedagogical and artistic work possible. The Academy of Music has ten specifically equipped buildings at its disposal, which are arranged as a campus in and around the imposing Palace Gardens.
David Bruchez received the trombone class chair in 2005, successor from Prof. Heinz Fadle (Neill Humfeld Award Recipient).
Following activities are part of the Trombone Studio :
- Warm-up and technic class
- Individual lessons on a "Master-class system"
- Piano correpetition (3x Week)
- Class Concerts (2-3 per semester)
- Mock Audition
- Trombone Choir and Quartets
- Orchestral Section playing (Low-brass class)
- Big Band (1xweek)
- Repertoire orchestral wind section (Bläserübung) (1xweek)
- Symphony, Studio and Opera Orchestras
- Brass ensemble (1xweek)
- first steps on Sackbuts...
- Euphonium, basstrumpet
The Detmold's Trombone classe has now 15 students (high-school, undergraduate, graduate, Orchesterzentrum NRW , soloexam, schoolmusic)(tenor and bass)
